AN ACT relating to the Kentucky affordable housing trust fund. 1
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky: 2
ď˘Section 1. KRS 198A.705 is amended to read as follows: 3
The General Assembly hereby finds and declares that: 4
(1) [current ]Economic conditions, federal housing policies, and declining resources at 5
the federal, state, and local levels adversely affect the ability of very low-income 6
persons to obtain safe, decent, and affordable housing; 7
(2) [that ]An increasing number of individuals are homeless, are at risk of becoming 8
homeless, or live in overcrowded, inadequate, and unsafe housing units; and 9
(3) It is in the public interest to establish a continuously renewable resource known as 10
an affordable housing trust fund to assist very low-income persons in meeting their 11
basic housing needs. 12
