AN ACT relating to labor. 1
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky: 2
ď˘Section 1. KRS 338.031 is amended to read as follows: 3
(1) Each employer: 4
(a) Shall furnish to each of his or her employees employment and a place of 5
employment which are free from recognized hazards that are causing or are 6
likely to cause death or serious physical harm to his or her employees; and 7
(b) Shall comply with occupational safety and health standards promulgated 8
under this chapter. 9
(2) Each employee shall comply with occupational safety and health standards and all 10
rules, regulations, and orders issued pursuant to this chapter which are applicable to 11
his or her own actions and conduct. 12
