A RESOLUTION adjourning the Senate in honor and loving memory of Logan 1
Kendal Medlock. 2
WHEREAS, a native son of Kentucky, Logan Kendal Medlock spent his life 3
serving the London community and his church; and 4
WHEREAS, Logan Kendal Medlock was born on August 26, 1996, in Fayette 5
County, Kentucky, to Randy Medlock and Donna Harris Eldridge; and 6
WHEREAS, Logan Kendal Medlock was a proud graduate of North Laurel High 7
School and of instruction provided by the Department of Criminal Justice Training, 8
which allowed him to follow his dream of becoming a police officer; and 9
WHEREAS, Logan Kendal Medlock was a devoted member of the London Police 10
Department and a proud volunteer with the Keavy Fire Department; and 11
WHEREAS, Logan Kendal Medlock was an active and beloved member of the 12
Greater Life Fellowship Church in London, Kentucky; and 13
WHEREAS, on October 30, 2022, Logan Kendal Medlock departed this life while 14
serving in the line of duty, at the age of 26 years, 2 months, and 4 days. His passing has 15
left a great wound which cannot be healed and he will be mourned by those whose lives 16
he touched, by the law enforcement community, and across the Commonwealth of 17
Kentucky; and 18
WHEREAS, Logan Kendal Medlock is preceded in death by his grandparents, Ray 19
and Nancy Harris; and 20
WHEREAS, Logan Kendal Medlock is survived by his father and stepmother, 21
Randy Medlock and Cherish Medlock; his mother and stepfather, Donna Harris Eldridge 22
and Mark Eldridge; his wife, Courtney Nicole Medlock; his son, Brantley Dewayne 23
Medlock; his brother, Payton Eldridge; his grandparents, Joe and Joan Medlock; his aunt, 24
Delynn Harris; his uncle, Brandon Medlock; and his mother-in-law, Julie Roark; 25
NOW, THEREFORE, 26

Section 1. The members of the Senate hereby express their most profound 2
sympathy upon the passing of Logan Kendal Medlock. 3
Section 2. When the Senate adjourns this day, it does so in honor and loving 4
memory of Logan Kendal Medlock. 5
Section 3. The Clerk of the Senate is directed to transmit a copy of this 6
Resolution to the office of Senator Brandon Storm for delivery to the family. 7
