UNOFFICIAL COPY 23 RS BR 1783 Page 1 of 1 XXXX 3/1/2023 12:14 PM Jacketed A RESOLUTION adjourning the Senate in honor and loving memory of Ervin 1 Sellars Jr. 2 WHEREAS, Ervin Sellars Jr. was born in Louisville, Kentucky, on May 18, 1944, 3 to Ervin Sellars Sr. and Nancy Sellars; and 4 WHEREAS, Ervin Sellars Jr. attended Louisville Male Traditional High School, 5 home of the purple and gold Bulldogs; and 6 WHEREAS, Ervin Sellars Jr. was a United States Army veteran and served his 7 country during the Vietnam War; and 8 WHEREAS, Ervin Sellars Jr. continued to serve his community in his professional 9 life as the Detective Supervisor for the Louisville Child Support Division of the Jefferson 10 County Attorney's Office; and 11 WHEREAS, Ervin Sellars Jr. was a proud member of J.B.B. Delphi; and 12 WHEREAS, Ervin Sellars Jr. departed this earthly life on February 23, 2023, and, 13 while his loss will be greatly felt, he will endure in the memory of his family, friends, and 14 community members; and 15 WHEREAS, Ervin Sellars Jr. is survived by his daughter, Janée Clark; his niece, 16 Candace McDaniel; and a whole host of family and friends; 17 NOW, THEREFORE, 18 Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of 19 Kentucky: 20 Section 1. The Senate hereby expresses its most profound sympathy upon the 21 passing of Ervin Sellars Jr. and posthumously thanks him for his service to our country 22 and this Commonwealth. 23 Section 2. When the Senate adjourns this day, it does so in honor and loving 24 memory of Ervin Sellars Jr. 25 Section 3. The Clerk of the Senate is hereby directed to transmit ten copies of 26 this Resolution to Senator Gerald A. Neal for delivery to the family. 27
