A RESOLUTION adjourning the Senate in honor and loving memory of Linda 1 
Holman Jones. 2 
WHEREAS, Linda Holman Jones was born on July 5, 1939, in Springfield, 3 
Tennessee, to William L. and Velma B. Krisle Holman; and 4 
WHEREAS, Linda Holman Jones was a proud and devoted Baptist whose love of 5 
Christ never wavered; and 6 
WHEREAS, Linda Holman Jones loved nothing more than to spend time with her 7 
family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and 8 
WHEREAS, on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, Linda Holman Jones traversed 9 
these earthly bounds while surrounded by her family and loved ones at her home in 10 
Murray, Kentucky; and 11 
WHEREAS, Linda Holman Jones was cherished and loved by many and will be 12 
dearly missed; and 13 
WHEREAS, Linda Holman Jones was preceded in death by her parents; her 14 
husband, Jerry Miles Jones; two brothers, Billy Gene Holman and Robert Donald 15 
Holman; sisters-in-law, Jeanette Holman and Sara Murphy; and brothers-in-law, William 16 
(Sory) Moon and Horace Murphy; and 17 
WHEREAS, Linda Holman Jones is survived by one son, Michael Trent Jones and 18 
wife Melissa of Murray; two daughters, Starr (Stephen) Durham and Velvet (Martin) 19 
Milkman; one sister, Norma Moon; one sister-in-law, Gail Holman; two grandchildren, 20 
Miles Farrell (Taylor) Durham and McKinsey Durham (Logan) Ball; a step-21 
granddaughter, Ashley Boggess; three great-grandchildren, Ava Lane Durham, Harper 22 
Rae Durham and Charlotte Jane Ball; three step-grandchildren, Taytum Mitchell, Paige 23 
Grinnell and Jack Grinnell; 17 nephews and nieces; and several great-nieces and great-24 
nephews; and 25 
WHEREAS, the members of the Senate both individually and collectively honor the 26

NOW, THEREFORE, 1 
Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of 2 
Kentucky: 3 
Section 1.   The Senate hereby extends its most profound sympathy upon the 4 
passing of Linda Holman Jones and expresses heartfelt condolences to her family in this 5 
time of loss. 6 
Section 2.   When the Senate adjourns this day, it does so in honor and loving 7 
memory of Linda Holman Jones. 8 
Section 3.   The Clerk of the Senate is hereby directed to transmit a copy of this 9 
Resolution to Senator Jason Howell for delivery to the family. 10
