A RESOLUTION honoring Bishop Kenny Clay, Jr. and Pastor Valerie Clay 1
following the release of their first book, Powering through Life Together. 2
WHEREAS, Kenny and Valerie Clay are the founding pastors of Kingdom Word 3
Fellowship in Winchester, Kentucky; and 4
WHEREAS, Kenny and Valerie Clay have been joined in marriage for over 30 5
years and are the proud parents of 4 beautiful children; and 6
WHEREAS, Kenny and Valerie Clay have been devoted to developing a healthy 7
marriage of their own, and have committed themselves to share their experiences with 8
others. Their goal is to come alongside other couples to work to achieve total happiness 9
in a healthy, fortified, and stable marriage covenant; and 10
WHEREAS, Kenny and Valerie Clay created a manual to help couples navigate the 11
journey beyond their wedding day and to equip readers with the necessary tools needed to 12
build a relationship that will not merely endure the hardships of life's challenges, but also 13
thrive; and 14
WHEREAS, Kenny and Valerie Clay, after developing a premarital curriculum, felt 15
the urgency to put their proven ideas, teachings, and married-life experience to the test 16
which inspired them to create, Powering Through Life Together; 17
NOW, THEREFORE, 18
Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of 19
Kentucky: 20
Section 1. The members of the Senate, both individually and collectively, 21
hereby honor Bishop Kenny Clay, Jr. and Pastor Valerie Clay for the release of their first 22
book. 23
Section 2. When the Senate adjourns this day, it does so in honor of Bishop 24
Kenny Clay, Jr. and Pastor Valerie Clay. 25
Section 3. The Clerk of the Senate is directed to transmit two copies of this 26
Resolution to Senator Ralph Alvarado for delivery. 27
