A RESOLUTION confirming the appointment of Brian F. Lavin to the University 1
of Louisville Board of Trustees. 2
WHEREAS, on January 17, 2023, in accordance with KRS 164.821 and by virtue 3
of Executive Order 2023-023, Governor Andy Beshear appointed Brian F. Lavin to the 4
University of Louisville Board of Trustees to replace Scott W. Brinkman for a term 5
expiring January 13, 2029; and 6
WHEREAS, the appointment is subject to Senate confirmation; and 7
WHEREAS, Brian F. Lavin has been determined to meet the requirements of KRS 8
164.821; 9
NOW, THEREFORE, 10
Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of 11
Kentucky: 12
Section 1. The Senate hereby confirms the appointment of Brian F. Lavin to the 13
University of Louisville Board of Trustees. 14
Section 2. The Clerk of the Senate shall forward a copy of this Resolution and 15
notification of its adoption to Brian F. Lavin of Prospect, Jefferson County, Kentucky and 16
to Governor Andy Beshear, State Capitol, Room 100, Frankfort, Kentucky 40601. 17
