A RESOLUTION confirming the appointment of Clyde B. Akins to the Kentucky 1
Council on Postsecondary Education. 2
WHEREAS, on May 17, 2022, in accordance with KRS 164.011 and by virtue of 3
Executive Order 2022-271, Governor Andy Beshear appointed Clyde B. Akins to the 4
Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education to replace Virginia C. Wright for a term 5
expiring December 31, 2027; and 6
WHEREAS, the appointment is subject to Senate confirmation; and 7
WHEREAS, Clyde B. Akins has been determined to meet the requirements of KRS 8
164.011; 9
NOW, THEREFORE, 10
Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of 11
Kentucky: 12
Section 1. The Senate hereby confirms the appointment of Clyde B. Akins to 13
the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education. 14
Section 2. The Clerk of the Senate shall forward a copy of this Resolution and 15
notification of its adoption to Clyde B. Akins of Lexington, Fayette County, Kentucky 16
and to Governor Andy Beshear, State Capitol, Room 100, Frankfort, Kentucky 40601. 17
