UNOFFICIAL COPY 23 RS BR 1050 Page 1 of 1 XXXX 1/6/2023 9:26 AM Jacketed A RESOLUTION congratulating Louisville Mayor Craig Greenberg on his 1 successful election and wishing him a successful term. 2 WHEREAS, Mayor Greenberg is a longtime advocate for transparency and 3 government reform and as Mayor has prioritized moving in a new direction under his 4 leadership; and 5 WHEREAS, as a successful businessman, Mayor Greenberg has utilized his talents 6 in the development and growth of Louisville, with his involvement in the development of 7 the Louisville Museum Plaza, the 21c Museum Hotel, and Whiskey Row; and 8 WHEREAS, as a philanthropist, Mayor Greenberg has also served as the Chairman 9 of the March of Dimes March for Babies and on the boards of Metro United Way and the 10 Louisville Jewish Community Center; and 11 WHEREAS, Mayor Craig Greenberg was sworn in as Louisville's 51st Mayor on 12 January 2nd, 2023; and 13 WHEREAS, in his inauguration speech, Mayor Greenberg vowed to work toward 14 building a "safer, stronger, and healthier" Louisville; and 15 WHEREAS, the Senate of the General Assembly wishes him a successful term as 16 Mayor of Louisville; 17 NOW, THEREFORE, 18 Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of 19 Kentucky: 20 Section 1. The members of the Senate do hereby congratulate Mayor Greenberg 21 on his successful election and wish him a successful term as Mayor of Louisville. 22 Section 2. The Clerk of the Senate is directed to transmit a copy of this 23 Resolution to Senator Gerald Neal. 24
