A RESOLUTION recognizing February 15, 2023, as Kentucky Land Title Day. 1
WHEREAS, the Kentucky Land Title Association (KYLTA) is a statewide trade 2
association representing the land title industry in this Commonwealth; and 3
WHEREAS, KYLTA plays a vital role in the success of the land title industry in 4
Kentucky, and continues to be a vibrant and responsible organization for the benefit of its 5
members and customers; and 6
WHEREAS, KYLTA membership is composed of title insurance agents, real estate 7
attorneys, and underwriters doing business throughout the Commonwealth; and 8
WHEREAS, KYLTA members are experts in the real estate transfer process, who 9
conduct title searches, examinations, and closings, and issue title insurance that protects 10
real property owners and mortgage lenders against losses from defects in titles; and 11
WHEREAS, a home is one of the most important investments of a lifetime, and 12
KYLTA members provide their customers peace of mind and help homeowners protect 13
their property rights for as long as they own their home; 14
NOW, THEREFORE, 15
Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of 16
Kentucky: 17
Section 1. The members of the Senate hereby recognize February 15, 2023, as 18
Kentucky Land Title Day, and heartily welcome those members of the Kentucky Land 19
Title Association who are visiting the Capitol on this day. 20
Section 2. When the Senate adjourns this day, it does so in recognition of 21
Kentucky Land Title Day. 22
Section 3. The Clerk of the Senate is directed to transmit a copy of this 23
Resolution to Senator Stephen West. 24
