AN ACT relating to assistant county attorneys. 1
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky: 2
ď˘Section 1. KRS 69.300 is amended to read as follows: 3
The assistant county attorneys shall[ reside in the county in which the county attorney is 4
elected, or within thirty (30) miles of the county line, or in a contiguous county and shall] 5
be attorneys licensed to practice in the Commonwealth[,] and shall have the same powers 6
and perform the same duties that county attorneys have and perform, except that they 7
shall be under the direction and control of the county attorney. 8
