UNOFFICIAL COPY 24 RS BR 812 Page 1 of 1 XXXX 10/10/2023 4:17 PM Jacketed A JOINT RESOLUTION designating a portion of Kentucky Route 371 in Kenton 1 County as the Michael Scott "Bubba" Wilson Memorial Highway. 2 WHEREAS, Michael Scott "Bubba" Wilson was born on October 22, 1965, to Bill 3 and Rose Wilson; and 4 WHEREAS, Bubba Wilson was the co-owner and lead mechanic at his family 5 business, Crescent Springs Hardware; and 6 WHEREAS, Bubba Wilson had a passion for the outdoors and was frequently 7 found in the woods or in his garage, blasting music with his friends by his side; and 8 WHEREAS, Bubba Wilson had a lifelong interest in off-roading and was a 9 longtime member of the Hy-Jumpers, a recreational four-wheeling club; and 10 WHEREAS, Bubba Wilson started Bubba Fest in 1990 to provide community and 11 entertainment for those equally as passionate about off-roading as he was. Bubba Fest 12 continues to this day in Sparta, Kentucky; and 13 WHEREAS, Bubba Wilson passed away on September 1, 2022, and is greatly 14 missed by his friends and family, including his loving wife of 22 years, Robin Wilson; 15 his daughter, Sharon Wilson; his stepson, Kody Johnson; and his grandson, Cole Wilson; 16 and 17 WHEREAS, Michael Scott "Bubba" Wilson touched many lives and created a 18 lively, close-knit community of off-roaders, and it is appropriate that tangible recognition 19 be given for his life and memory; 20 NOW, THEREFORE, 21 Be it resolved by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky: 22 ď˘Section 1. The Transportation Cabinet shall designate Kentucky Route 371 in 23 Kenton County, from its intersection with Anderson Road to its intersection with Western 24 Reserve Road, as the "Michael Scott 'Bubba' Wilson Memorial Highway" and shall, 25 within 30 days of the effective date of this Resolution, erect appropriate signage denoting 26 this designation. 27
