A RESOLUTION honoring classified employees in public schools. 1
WHEREAS, classified school employees, including administrative assistants, 2
custodial staff, food service workers, transportation employees, educational assistants, 3
and other critical school support staff, are dedicated professionals fundamental to the 4
fabric of our public education system, providing essential support and ensuring the 5
smooth and effective functioning of our public schools. Their many contributions are 6
essential to provide a nurturing educational setting for all Kentucky students; and 7
WHEREAS, the General Assembly recognizes the more than 45,439 classified 8
employees in public schools who provide essential services across the state of Kentucky; 9
and 10
WHEREAS, the Commonwealth of Kentucky recognizes the invaluable 11
contributions of classified employees towards the success and well-being of students in 12
public schools; and 13
WHEREAS, classified employees in education strive for excellence in all areas of 14
service to the education community. Classified employees in education provide 15
outstanding contribution to quality education as well as the welfare and safety of students 16
throughout the Commonwealth; and 17
WHEREAS, classified employees in education are fully committed to the success 18
of students and continued advocacy of Kentucky students; 19
NOW, THEREFORE, 20
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the General Assembly of the 21
Commonwealth of Kentucky: 22
Section 1. The House of Representatives does hereby recognize the vitally 23
important contributions of classified employees in our public schools, and acknowledges 24
that the opportunity for a free public school education is vital to our democracy and 25
would not be possible without the essential classified employees in public schools. 26
Section 2. The Clerk of the House of Representatives is directed to transmit a 27 UNOFFICIAL COPY 24 RS BR 1698
