AN ACT relating to education. 1
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky: 2
SECTION 1. A NEW SECTION OF KRS CHAPTER 158 IS CREATED TO 3
READ AS FOLLOWS: 4
No social studies curriculum adopted by a superintendent shall reflect content-based 5
censorship of: 6
(1) The historical oppression of a particular group of people based on race, ethnicity, 7
class, nationality, religion, sexual orientation, or geographic region; 8
(2) Controversial aspects of history; 9
(3) The history of an ethnic group; or 10
(4) Historical documents relevant to subsections (1), (2), and (3) of this section. 11
SECTION 2. A NEW SECTION OF KRS CHAPTER 158 IS CREATED TO 12

Notwithstanding any other law to the contrary, a school or school district may adopt, 14
implement, and offer equity, diversity, and inclusion curricula, programs, initiatives, 15
and instruction without penalty. 16
SECTION 3. A NEW SECTION OF KRS CHAPTER 164 IS CREATED TO 17
READ AS FOLLOWS: 18
Notwithstanding any other law to the contrary, public postsecondary education 19
institutions may adopt, implement, and offer diversity, equity, and inclusion programs, 20
initiatives, and instruction without penalty. 21
