AN ACT relating to university hospitals. 1
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky: 2
ď˘SECTION 1. A NEW SECTION OF KRS CHAPTER 205 IS CREATED TO 3
READ AS FOLLOWS: 4
If the Department for Medicaid Services or a managed care organization contracted by 5
the department for the delivery of Medicaid services establishes a reimbursement rate 6
for services delivered at or by a university hospital as defined in KRS 205.6405 that is 7
higher than the reimbursement rate paid for the same service when delivered at or by a 8
healthcare facility that is not a university hospital, the university hospital shall only be 9
entitled to the higher reimbursement rate for services delivered in the county in which 10
the affiliated university's primary academic campus is located. 11
