A RESOLUTION honoring the Greenup County High School cheerleaders, 2024 1 
Universal Cheerleaders Association National and World Champions. 2 
WHEREAS, the Greenup County High School cheerleaders continued their storied 3 
tradition of excellence in competitive cheerleading this season, winning their 17th 4 
Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) National Championship in February 2024; 5 
and  6 
WHEREAS, the Greenup County High School cheerleaders also brought home the 7 
UCA World Championship title, making 2024 the first year the team has won both the 8 
UCA National and World Championships in the same year; and  9 
WHEREAS, the Greenup County High School cheerleaders competed in one of the 10 
most competitive divisions in the competition, Medium Varsity Division II; and  11 
WHEREAS, none of the teams in the Greenup County High School cheerleaders' 12 
division had any deductions due to dropped stunts or other errors, and Greenup County 13 
still came out on top with an incredibly difficult routine; and  14 
WHEREAS, the Greenup County High School cheerleaders were led by their long-15 
time head coach Candy Berry, and assistant coaches Brandi Hunt, Rhonda Poplin, Hunter 16 
Scott, and Allison Trujillo; and  17 
WHEREAS, Greenup County High School cheerleader team members include: 18 
seniors Haylee Baldridge, Madi Burns, Makenna Howard, Laryn McGuire, Aliana 19 
Parton, Kaylee Swimm, Thea Rice, and Kylie Warnock; juniors Elaina Boggs, Izzy 20 
Darnell, Ella Fraley, Mykenah Martin, Gracie Howard, and Cali Warnock; sophomores 21 
Khloe Ginn, Addi Hogsten, and Shea Rice; freshmen Josie Bates, Macey Hayden, Jalee 22 
Holland, Carlee Hunt, Ellie Hunt, Alexa Mays, and Hannah Scott; and eighth grade 23 
member Hailey French; and 24 
WHEREAS, the Greenup County High School cheerleaders continue to show 25 
immense dedication and passion for the sport of cheerleading and their achievements are 26

NOW, THEREFORE, 1 
Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of 2 
Kentucky: 3 
Section 1. The members of the Senate join Senator Robin Webb in 4 
congratulating the Greenup County High School cheerleaders, 2024 Universal 5 
Cheerleaders Association, Medium Varsity Division II, National and World Champions, 6 
and wishing all team members, coaches, and staff good fortune in all future endeavors. 7 
Section 2.   The Clerk of the Senate shall transmit a copy of this Resolution to 8 
Senator Robin Webb for presentation to the team. 9
