A RESOLUTION confirming the reappointment of Sharon P. Clark as 1
commissioner of the Department of Insurance within the Public Protection Cabinet. 2
WHEREAS, on February 1, 2024, in accordance with KRS 304.2-020 and by virtue 3
of Executive Order 2024-074, Governor Andy Beshear reappointed Sharon P. Clark as 4
commissioner of the Department of Insurance within the Public Protection Cabinet, 5
effective December 12, 2023; and 6
WHEREAS, the reappointment is subject to Senate confirmation; and 7
WHEREAS, Sharon P. Clark has been determined to meet the requirements of KRS 8
304.2-020; 9
NOW, THEREFORE, 10
Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of 11
Kentucky: 12
Section 1. The Senate hereby confirms the reappointment of Sharon P. Clark as 13
commissioner of the Department of Insurance within the Public Protection Cabinet. 14
Section 2. The Clerk of the Senate shall forward a copy of this Resolution and 15
notification of its adoption to Sharon P. Clark of Harrodsburg, Mercer County, Kentucky, 16
and to Governor Andy Beshear, State Capitol, Room 100, Frankfort, Kentucky 40601. 17
