A RESOLUTION adjourning the Senate in recognition of Conservation Officer 1
Sergeant Rufus Cravens. 2
WHEREAS, Sergeant Rufus Cravens is a lifelong resident of Clark County, 3
Kentucky; and 4
WHEREAS, Sergeant Cravens graduated from George Rogers Clark High School 5
in 1995 and received his bachelor's degree in general business from Eastern Kentucky 6
University in 2002; and 7
WHEREAS, Sergeant Cravens was hired as a conservation officer in the 8
Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources in September 2006. He initially served in 9
Rockcastle County before transferring to Jessamine County and finally to his home 10
county of Clark; and 11
WHEREAS, Sergeant Cravens was an integral part of the success of the 12
Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources' 6th Law Enforcement District, where he 13
participated in many community fishing and hunting events; and 14
WHEREAS, in February of 2016, Sergeant Cravens was promoted to the rank of 15
sergeant, a position he currently holds in Frankfort where he works in inventory and 16
supply; and 17
WHEREAS, over recent years, Sergeant Cravens and his family have shared their 18
home and love of the outdoors with five exchange students from Thailand, Taiwan, 19
Japan, and Sweden; and 20
WHEREAS, Sergeant Cravens currently lives in Winchester with his wife Shannon 21
and daughter Kaylee; 22
NOW, THEREFORE, 23
Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of 24
Kentucky: 25
Section 1. The Senate hereby expresses its appreciation to Conservation Officer 26
Sergeant Rufus Cravens for his service protecting the Commonwealth's natural resources. 27 UNOFFICIAL COPY 24 RS BR 2443

Section 2. When the Senate adjourns this day, it does so in recognition of 1
Conservation Officer Sergeant Rufus Cravens. 2
Section 3. The Clerk of the Senate is directed to transmit a copy of this 3
Resolution to Senator Greg Elkins for delivery to Conservation Officer Sergeant Rufus 4
Cravens. 5
