A RESOLUTION recognizing June 14, 2024, as Kentucky Society of Certified 1
Public Accountants (KyCPA) Appreciation Day in Kentucky to commemorate the 2
Society's 100 year anniversary. 3
WHEREAS, KyCPA was founded in June 1924 as a statewide nonprofit 4
organization which today serves nearly 4,000 CPAs in public accounting firms, 5
businesses, industries, governments, and educational systems; and 6
WHEREAS, KyCPA aims to improve the lives of CPAs through educating, 7
networking, sharing of information and tools, developing the talent pipeline, providing 8
access, legislating advocacy, and protecting the CPA reputation; and 9
WHEREAS, KyCPA is dedicated to empowering the CPAs of today and tomorrow; 10
and 11
WHEREAS, KyCPA supports the oath of the Certified Public Accountant to uphold 12
the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of Kentucky, ensuring that 13
CPAs maintain their professional integrity and honor; and 14
WHEREAS, CPAs are leaders, strategic thinkers, and problem solvers who play 15
integral roles in the success of business operations across various sectors of society, 16
including public accounting, business and industry, technology, forensics, government, 17
and education; 18
NOW, THEREFORE, 19
Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of 20
Kentucky: 21
Section 1. The Senate hereby recognizes June 14, 2024, as Kentucky Society of 22
Certified Public Accountants (KyCPA) Appreciation Day in Kentucky to commemorate 23
the Society's 100 year anniversary and their dedicated service to all Kentucky CPAs. 24
Section 2. The Clerk of the Senate is directed to transmit a copy of this 25
Resolution to Senator Amanda Mays Bledsoe. 26
