A RESOLUTION confirming the appointment of Dr. Robbie Fletcher as 1
Commissioner of the Kentucky Department of Education. 2
WHEREAS, in accordance with KRS 156.148, the Kentucky Board of Education 3
has appointed Dr. Robbie Fletcher to serve as Commissioner of the Kentucky Department 4
of Education for a term to begin on July 1, 2024; 5
WHEREAS, the appointment is subject to Senate confirmation; 6
WHEREAS, Dr. Robbie Fletcher has been determined to be qualified for the 7
position of Commissioner of the Kentucky Department of Education by the Kentucky 8
Board of Education; 9
NOW, THEREFORE, 10
Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of 11
Kentucky: 12
Section 1. The Senate hereby confirms the appointment of Dr. Robbie Fletcher 13
as Commissioner of the Kentucky Department of Education. 14
Section 2. The Clerk of the Senate shall forward a copy of this Resolution and 15
notification of its adoption to Dr. Robbie Fletcher of Lawrence County, Kentucky, and to 16
Governor Andy Beshear, Room 100, State Capitol, Frankfort, Kentucky 40601. 17
