A RESOLUTION confirming the appointment of Karen Sherfey to the Board of 1
Nursing. 2
WHEREAS, on September 19, 2023, in accordance with KRS 314.121 and by 3
virtue of Executive Order 2023-545, Governor Andy Beshear appointed Karen Sherfey to 4
the Board of Nursing to replace Carl Vinson for a term expiring June 30, 2027; and 5
WHEREAS, the appointment is subject to Senate confirmation; and 6
WHEREAS, Karen Sherfey has been determined to meet the requirements of KRS 7
314.121 representing licensed practical nurses; 8
NOW, THEREFORE, 9
Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of 10
Kentucky: 11
Section 1. The Senate hereby confirms the appointment of Karen Sherfey to the 12
Board of Nursing. 13
Section 2. The Clerk of the Senate shall forward a copy of this Resolution and 14
notification of its adoption to Karen Sherfey of Glasgow, Barren County, Kentucky, and 15
to Governor Andy Beshear, State Capitol, Room 100, Frankfort, Kentucky 40601. 16
