A RESOLUTION confirming the appointment of James Paul Cousins to the 1
Education Professional Standards Board. 2
WHEREAS, on July 19, 2023, in accordance with KRS 161.028 and by virtue of 3
Executive Order 2023-411, Governor Andy Beshear appointed James Paul Cousins to the 4
Education Professional Standards Board to replace Timothy Wooster for the remainder of 5
the term expiring June 30, 2025; and 6
WHEREAS, the appointment is subject to Senate confirmation; and 7
WHEREAS, James Paul Cousins has been determined to meet the requirements of 8
KRS 161.028, representing independent not-for-profit universities; 9
NOW, THEREFORE, 10
Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of 11
Kentucky: 12
Section 1. The Senate hereby confirms the appointment of James Paul Cousins 13
to the Education Professional Standards Board. 14
Section 2. The Clerk of the Senate shall forward a copy of this Resolution and 15
notification of its adoption to James Paul Cousins of Owensboro, Daviess County, 16
Kentucky, and to Governor Andy Beshear, State Capitol, Room 100, Frankfort, Kentucky 17
