A RESOLUTION confirming the appointment of Darris Russell to the Mine Safety 1
Review Commission. 2
WHEREAS, on April 25, 2023, in accordance with KRS 351.1041 and by virtue of 3
Executive Order 2023-200, Governor Andy Beshear appointed Darris Russell to the Mine 4
Safety Review Commission to replace George J. Miller for a term expiring April 24, 5
2027; and 6
WHEREAS, the appointment is subject to Senate confirmation; and 7
WHEREAS, Darris Russell has been determined to meet the requirements of KRS 8
351.1041; 9
NOW, THEREFORE, 10
Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of 11
Kentucky: 12
Section 1. The Senate hereby confirms the appointment of Darris Russell to the 13
Mine Safety Review Commission. 14
Section 2. The Clerk of the Senate shall send a copy of this Resolution and 15
notification of its adoption to Darris Russell of Central City, Muhlenberg County, 16
Kentucky, and to Governor Andy Beshear, State Capitol, Suite 100, Frankfort, Kentucky, 17
40601. 18
