A RESOLUTION confirming the appointment of Diana W. Woods to the Kentucky 1
Board of Education. 2
WHEREAS, on May 30, 2023, in accordance with KRS 156.029 and by virtue of 3
Executive Order 2023-308, Governor Andy Beshear appointed Diana W. Woods to the 4
Kentucky Board of Education to replace Claire Michelle Batt for a term expiring April 5
14, 2026; and 6
WHEREAS, the appointment is subject to Senate confirmation; and 7
WHEREAS, Diana W. Woods has been determined to meet the requirements of 8
KRS 156.029 and 156.040 representing members at-large; 9
NOW, THEREFORE, 10
Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of 11
Kentucky: 12
Section 1. The Senate hereby confirms the appointment of Diana W. Woods to 13
the Kentucky Board of Education. 14
Section 2. The Clerk of the Senate shall forward a copy of this Resolution and 15
notification of its adoption to Diana W. Woods of Lexington, Fayette County, Kentucky, 16
and to Governor Andy Beshear, State Capitol, Room 100, Frankfort, Kentucky 40601. 17
