A RESOLUTION confirming the appointment of Derrick Helm to the Kentucky 1
Lottery Corporation Board of Directors. 2
WHEREAS, on November 30, 2023, in accordance with KRS 154A.030 and by 3
virtue of Executive Order 2023-737, Governor Andy Beshear appointed Derrick Helm to 4
the Kentucky Lottery Corporation Board of Directors to replace Mark F. Sommer for a 5
term expiring November 28, 2027; and 6
WHEREAS, the appointment is subject to Senate confirmation; and 7
WHEREAS, Derrick Helm has been determined to meet the requirements of KRS 8
154A.030; 9
NOW, THEREFORE, 10
Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of 11
Kentucky: 12
Section 1. The Senate hereby confirms the appointment of Derrick Helm to the 13
Kentucky Lottery Corporation Board of Directors. 14
Section 2. The Clerk of the Senate shall forward a copy of this Resolution and 15
notification of its adoption to Derrick Helm, Jamestown, Russell County, Kentucky and 16
to Governor Andy Beshear, State Capitol, Room 100, Frankfort, Kentucky 40601. 17
