UNOFFICIAL COPY 24 RS BR 81 Page 1 of 1 XXXX 6/7/2023 6:57 AM Jacketed A RESOLUTION adjourning the Senate in honor and loving memory of Virginia 1 Joann Pensinger. 2 WHEREAS, Virginia Joann Pensinger was born in Kokomo, Indiana, on March 29, 3 1938, to Malcolm Dewitt and Mary Jane Summer Conway; and 4 WHEREAS, Virginia Joann Pensinger retired from the Kentucky Department of the 5 Treasury, and was a former session employee of the Legislative Research Commission as 6 a member of the Senate Clerk's Office team; and 7 WHEREAS, Virginia Joann Pensinger was a member of the Capitol City Christian 8 Church, where she was active in the Care Group; and 9 WHEREAS, Virginia Joann Pensinger departed these earthly bounds for her 10 Heavenly, eternal home on May 8, 2023; and 11 WHEREAS, Virginia Joann Pensinger is survived by her son, Fredrick Donovan 12 "Freddie" Pensinger; daughters, Teresa (Tom) Dailey and Christina Joann Pensinger; 13 brothers, Mike (Donella) Conway and Merill (Kay) Conway; sister, Carolyn Buss; eight 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of other friends and loved ones; and 15 WHEREAS, in addition to her parents, Virginia Joann Pensinger was preceded in 16 death by her sister, Judith Conway; 17 NOW, THEREFORE, 18 Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of 19 Kentucky: 20 Section 1. The Senate hereby expresses its most profound sympathy upon the 21 passing of Virginia Joann Pensinger. 22 Section 2. When the Senate adjourns this day, it does so in honor and loving 23 memory of Virginia Joann Pensinger. 24 Section 3. The Clerk of the Senate is directed to transmit a copy of this 25 Resolution to Senator Stephen West for delivery to the family. 26
