A RESOLUTION in honor and loving memory of Amy Hamilton Slone. 1 
WHEREAS, Amy Hamilton Slone was born on May 3, 1969, to her father, Jimmy 2 
Hamilton, and her late mother, Nancy Bolton, in Pike County, Kentucky; and 3 
WHEREAS, Amy Hamilton Slone was the loving wife of Thurman Slone, mother 4 
of two daughters and grandmother to three wonderful grandchildren; and 5 
WHEREAS, Amy Hamilton Slone graduated from Pikeville High School in 1987, 6 
was a retired secretary, and was a believer in her Baptist faith; and 7 
WHEREAS, Amy Hamilton Slone left this world on Monday, October 9, 2023; and 8 
WHEREAS, along with her father and husband, Amy Hamilton Slone is survived 9 
by two daughters, Payton (Bobby) Harris and Ashton Slone; two brothers, Jamie 10 
(Brandy) Hamilton and Justin Corey (Barbara) Hamilton; one sister, Whitney Hamilton; 11 
three grandchildren, Makynzie Harris, Collyn Harris, and Ella Harris; and a host of 12 
loving family and friends; and 13 
NOW, THEREFORE, 14 
Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of 15 
Kentucky: 16 
Section 1.   The members of the Senate do hereby extend their most profound 17 
sympathy upon the passing of Amy Hamilton Slone. 18 
Section 2.   When the Senate adjourns this day, it does so in honor and loving 19 
memory of Amy Hamilton Slone. 20 
Section 3. The Clerk of the Senate is directed to transmit a copy of this 21 
Resolution to Senator Phillip Wheeler for delivery to the family. 22
