UNOFFICIAL COPY 24 RS BR 1381 Page 1 of 1 XXXX 1/3/2024 11:59 AM Jacketed A RESOLUTION adjourning the Senate in honor and loving memory of Kathy 1 Ratliff. 2 WHEREAS, Kathy Ratliff was born April 10, 1956, in Pikeville, Kentucky, to 3 Linton and Coraphene Justice; and 4 WHEREAS, Kathy Ratliff was a homemaker, a 1974 graduate of Pikeville High 5 School, and attended the University of Kentucky; and 6 WHEREAS, Kathy Ratliff was a devoted member of the Grace Baptist Church for 7 the last 57 years; and 8 WHEREAS, Kathy Ratliff departed these earthly bounds for her heavenly eternal 9 home on November 26, 2023; and 10 WHEREAS, Kathy Ratliff is survived by her parents; her husband, David Michael 11 Ratliff; her son, David Michael Ratliff II; her daughter, April Nicole Ratliff; her sisters, 12 Tammy Jo Sword and Julie Ann Altman; and a host of other family, friends, and loved 13 ones; and 14 WHEREAS, Kathy Ratliff's contributions to her community and family leave a 15 substantial legacy and a huge void; 16 NOW, THEREFORE, 17 Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of 18 Kentucky: 19 Section 1. The Senate hereby expresses its most profound sympathy upon the 20 passing of Kathy Ratliff. 21 Section 2. When the Senate adjourns this day, it does so in honor and loving 22 memory of Kathy Ratliff. 23 Section 3. The Clerk of the Senate is directed to transmit a copy of this 24 Resolution to Senator Phillip Wheeler for delivery to the family. 25
