AN ACT relating to government services. 1
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky: 2
ď˘SECTION 1. A NEW SECTION OF KRS CHAPTER 61 IS CREATED TO 3
READ AS FOLLOWS: 4
(1) As used in this section, "state or local government" means any: 5
(a) Agency, authority, board, bureau, commission, committee, department, 6
government corporation, institution, instrumentality, legislative body, 7
political subdivision, or other entity of this state, or of an entity referenced 8
in paragraph (b) of this subsection; and 9
(b) City, county, charter county government, urban-county government, 10
consolidated local government, unified local government, public school 11
district, public postsecondary institution, special district, or municipal 12
corporation. 13
(2) A state or local government shall not utilize the word "free" in the description of 14
any benefit, product, or service when the word refers to a benefit, product, or 15
service financed with public funds. 16
