A JOINT RESOLUTION relating to contingent appropriations. 1
WHEREAS, it is the responsibility of the General Assembly to monitor the 2
spending of state funds for the good of the Commonwealth; and 3
WHEREAS, with that responsibility in mind, certain appropriations were 4
contingent upon specific duties being fulfilled by the Kentucky Community and 5
Technical College System, in collaboration with the Council on Postsecondary 6
Education; and 7
WHEREAS, the General Assembly recognizes the need to improve and advance the 8
existing Kentucky Community and Technical College System; and 9
WHEREAS, 2024 Ky. Acts ch. 175, Part I, J., 11., (8) requires the Kentucky 10
Community and Technical College System, in collaboration with the Council on 11
Postsecondary Education, to submit a proposal for approval by the General Assembly 12
that analyzes certain recommendations; and 13
WHEREAS, that proposal has been submitted; 14
NOW, THEREFORE, 15
Be it resolved by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky: 16
ď˘Section 1. The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky hereby 17
approves and authorizes the Office of State Budget Director to release capital 18
construction funds to improve and advance the existing Kentucky Community and 19
Technical College System, in collaboration with the Council on Postsecondary 20
Education, in accordance with 2024 Ky. Acts ch. 175, Part I, J., 11., (8). 21
