A RESOLUTION confirming the reappointment of William "Billy Ray" Smith to 1
the Kentucky State Fair Board. 2
WHEREAS, on May 17, 2024, in accordance with KRS 247.090 and by virtue of 3
Executive Order 2024-344, Governor Andy Beshear reappointed William "Billy Ray" 4
Smith to the Kentucky State Fair Board for a term expiring May 9, 2028; and 5
WHEREAS, the reappointment is subject to Senate confirmation; and 6
WHEREAS, William "Billy Ray" Smith has been determined to meet the 7
requirements of KRS 247.090; 8
NOW, THEREFORE, 9
Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of 10
Kentucky: 11
Section 1. The Senate hereby confirms the reappointment of William "Billy 12
Ray" Smith to the Kentucky State Fair Board. 13
Section 2. The Clerk of the Senate shall forward a copy of this Resolution and 14
notification of its adoption to William "Billy Ray" Smith of Bowling Green, Warren 15
County, Kentucky, and to Governor Andy Beshear, State Capitol, Room 100, Frankfort, 16
Kentucky 40601. 17
