UNOFFICIAL COPY 25 RS BR 2010 Page 1 of 2 XXXX 3/7/2025 10:40 AM Jacketed A RESOLUTION adjourning the Senate in honor and loving memory of James 1 Thomas Clark. 2 WHEREAS, James Thomas Clark was born on June 9, 2007, to John and Necole 3 Darnall Clark of Fulton, Kentucky; and 4 WHEREAS, James Thomas Clark attended Hickman County schools and grew to 5 be a young man of many pursuits, but he particularly loved outdoor activities such as 6 archery and hunting. He always looked forward to hunting season when he could take 7 that trophy buck back to his family; and 8 WHEREAS, as a member of the Inside Out Archery club, which promotes target 9 archery, hunting, and conservation of natural resources, James Thomas Clark won both 10 state and national titles in the Scholastic 3-D Archery (S3DA) competitions; and 11 WHEREAS, James Thomas Clark was as passionate about his education as he was 12 about his outdoor pursuits. He excelled in math and science and was chosen to attend the 13 Gatton Academy of Mathematics and Science at Western Kentucky University; and 14 WHEREAS, for James Thomas Clark, spirituality remained a consistent force 15 throughout his life. He attended the Crosswind Church in Union City, Tennessee, and 16 served on the church worship team and participated in the church youth group; and 17 WHEREAS, James Thomas Clark departed this earth on September 20, 2024, at the 18 age of 17 years to an everlasting life in heaven, protected and loved by Jesus Christ our 19 eternal savior; and 20 WHEREAS, James Thomas Clark was preceded in death by his paternal 21 grandfather, Voris Clark; and 22 WHEREAS, James Thomas Clark is survived by his parents; his sister, Cora Clark; 23 his maternal grandparents, Clifton and Debra Darnall; his paternal grandmother, Linda 24 Wilson Clark; his aunts, Kim (Scott) Johnson and Rev. The Senate expresses its most profound sympathy upon the passing 3 of James Thomas Clark and extends heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and 4 community. 5 Section 2. When the Senate adjourns this day, it does so in honor and loving 6 memory of James Thomas Clark. 7 Section 3. The Clerk of the Senate is directed to transmit a copy of this 8 Resolution to Senator Jason Howell for delivery to the family. 9
