UNOFFICIAL COPY 25 RS BR 2061 Page 1 of 1 XXXX 3/21/2025 3:13 PM Jacketed A RESOLUTION adjourning the Senate in honor and loving memory of Charles 1 Larry Elswick. 2 WHEREAS, Charles Larry Elswick was born in Pikeville, Kentucky, on November 3 17, 1950, the son of the late Clyde and Garnette Taylor Elswick; and 4 WHEREAS, Larry Elswick served as a chief inspector for the Division of Mine 5 Reclamation and Enforcement for the Commonwealth of Kentucky until his retirement; 6 and 7 WHEREAS, Larry Elswick was a member of the Salem Gospel Fellowship Church 8 in Pikeville, Kentucky; and 9 WHEREAS, Larry Elswick was preceded in death by his parents and by a son, 10 Nathan Alan Elswick; and 11 WHEREAS, Larry Elswick is survived by his wife, Martha Wright Elswick; a son, 12 Eric Ryan Elswick; a daughter, Ashley (Dr. Jody) Brown; a sister, Judy Elswick (Randy) 13 Thomas; a special nephew, Cameron Flanagan Wright; his nephews, Matthew 14 (Katherine) Thomas and Joel (Megan) Thomas; a special cousin, Glenda (Corky) Justice; 15 four grandchildren, Nathan Ryan Brown, Elizabeth Kate Brown, Caroline Grace Brown, 16 and Hailey Jo Brown; and a host of other nieces and nephews; 17 NOW, THEREFORE, 18 Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of 19 Kentucky: 20 Section 1. The Senate expresses its most profound sympathy upon the passing 21 of Charles Larry Elswick and extends heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and 22 community. 23 Section 2. When the Senate adjourns this day, it does so in honor and loving 24 memory of Charles Larry Elswick. 25 Section 3. The Clerk of the Senate is directed to transmit a copy of this 26 Resolution to Senator Phillip Wheeler for delivery to the family. 27
