UNOFFICIAL COPY 25 RS BR 2062 Page 1 of 2 XXXX 3/27/2025 9:43 AM Jacketed A RESOLUTION adjourning the Senate in honor and loving memory of Rebecca 1 Hogston. 2 WHEREAS, Rebecca Hogston was born to the late Matt and Ollie Worrix Thacker 3 on February 28, 1938, in Fishtrap, Kentucky; and 4 WHEREAS, Rebecca Hogston was a devoted homemaker and a devout member of 5 the Lick Creek Holiness Church; and 6 WHEREAS, Rebecca Hogston passed away at her home in Feds Creek, Kentucky, 7 on November 6, 2024, at the age of 86; and 8 WHEREAS, Rebecca Hogston is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, 9 Harold Abshire; second husband, James Ervin Hogston; brothers, Jonah Thacker, Glen 10 Thacker, Gemes Thacker, John D. Thacker, and Lee Roger Thacker; and sisters, Kelsie 11 Kendrick, Victoria Slone, and Dixie Thacker; and 12 WHEREAS, Rebecca Hogston is survived by her two sons, Freddie Abshire and 13 Jimmy Abshire; daughter, Delores Miller; grandchildren, Harold Ray Miller, Travis 14 Miller, Benjamin Abshire, and Aaron Abshire; great-grandchildren, Hannah Miller, 15 Dylan Miller, Trevor Miller, Mila Miller, Hunter Miller, and Chloe Miller; and her great-16 great-grandchild, Titus Collar; and 17 WHEREAS, Rebecca Hogston will be missed for her generosity and compassion, 18 as well as the joy she brought to the members of her congregation and to the lives of 19 those in her community; 20 NOW, THEREFORE, 21 Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of 22 Kentucky: 23 Section 1. The Senate expresses its most profound sympathy upon the passing 24 of Rebecca Hogston and extends heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, and 25 community. 26 Section 2.
