UNOFFICIAL COPY 25 RS BR 2080 Page 1 of 1 XXXX 3/27/2025 4:30 PM Jacketed A RESOLUTION adjourning the Senate in honor and loving memory of Anthony 1 "Tony" McCoart. 2 WHEREAS, Anthony "Tony" McCoart was born on February 28, 1955, in Johnson 3 County, Kentucky, to the late Bessie and Art McCoart; and 4 WHEREAS, Tony McCoart loved to play golf and support the Van Lear Historical 5 Society; and 6 WHEREAS, Tony McCoart was a vibrant, lively, and loyal husband, father, 7 grandfather, brother, friend, teammate, coworker, and neighbor; and 8 WHEREAS, after a hard-fought battle with corticobasal degeneration, Tony 9 McCoart departed this earthly life on March 15, 2025. He joins his parents and brothers, 10 Henry, Frank "Burns," and Dan, in eternal life; and 11 WHEREAS, Tony McCoart will be forever remembered and deeply missed by his 12 devoted wife of 48 years, Teresa McCoart; his two daughters, Jennifer (Derrick) Wilson 13 and Lauren McCoart; his two grandchildren, Lily and Sawyer; his twin sister, Angie 14 (Harold) Burton; his sisters, Jenny (Bill) Phelps and Patty Lee; and his brother, John Pat 15 McCoart; 16 NOW, THEREFORE, 17 Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of 18 Kentucky: 19 Section 1. The members of the Senate hereby express their most profound 20 sympathy upon the passing of Tony McCoart. 21 Section 2. When the Senate adjourns this day, it does so in honor and loving 22 memory of Tony McCoart. 23 Section 3. The Clerk of the Senate is directed to transmit a copy of this 24 Resolution to Senator Phillip Wheeler for delivery to the family. 25
