A RESOLUTION honoring Forcht Bank on the occasion of its 40th anniversary. 1
WHEREAS, in the early 1970s, Terry Forcht, attorney and entrepreneur, discovered 2
his aptitude for the business of banking while serving on the board of directors of the 3
Corbin Deposit Bank and Trust; and 4
WHEREAS, in 1985, Terry Forcht and a group of investors opened Tri-County 5
National Bank in Corbin, Kentucky. Over the next several years, Terry Forcht acquired 6
Deposit Bank & Trust, Williamsburg National Bank, Campbellsville National Bank, and 7
several additional banks throughout Kentucky and in Cincinnati, Ohio; and 8
WHEREAS, on December 31, 2007, under Terry Forcht's visionary leadership, the 9
banks merged into one to establish Forcht Bank; and 10
WHEREAS, the core banking principles of Forcht Bank are respecting the 11
customer, offering competitive rates, and serving the community; and 12
WHEREAS, with twenty-three banking centers and three loan production offices, 13
Forcht Bank serves many Kentuckians and Bluegrass businesses; and 14
WHEREAS, in 2025, Forcht Bank will celebrate its 40th Anniversary of exemplary 15
dedication and service to Kentucky communities; and 16
WHEREAS, the 40th Anniversary of Forcht Bank underscores the trust and loyalty 17
of its customers and its commitment to fostering strong, thriving communities; 18
NOW, THEREFORE, 19
Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of 20
Kentucky: 21
Section 1. The Senate hereby recognizes and congratulates Forcht Bank on its 22
40th Anniversary and honors it for forty years of growth and success. 23
Section 2. When the Senate adjourns this day, it does so in honor and 24
celebration of Forcht Bank. 25
Section 3. The Clerk of the Senate is directed to transmit a copy of this 26
Resolution to Senate President Robert Stivers for delivery. 27
