A RESOLUTION honoring the Tenth Street Cardinals youth football team, 2024 1
D1 Nation 10U Youth Football national champions. 2
WHEREAS, on December 16, 2024, at the Harold Patterson Sports Center in 3
Dallas, Texas, the Tenth Street Cardinals from Louisville, Kentucky, defeated Buckeyes 4
United of Mississippi by a score of 27 to 0 to win the 2024 D1 Nation 10U Youth 5
Football national championship; and 6
WHEREAS, the win in the championship game capped a season that saw the 7
Cardinals compile a record of 22 wins against 5 losses, traveling to Ohio, Indiana, 8
Tennessee, and Georgia before their appearance at the championship tournament in 9
Texas; and 10
WHEREAS, in the championship tournament, the Cardinals outscored their 11
opponents by a cumulative score 115 to 20; and 12
WHEREAS, members of the Cardinals included: Messiah Ezell, Maximus Evans, 13
Avery Weatherford, Xavier Thompson, Thomas Scott, Adrian Cook, Davon Cook, Tylen 14
White, Willie James, Jayden Brown, Prince Sublett, Bryson Harris, Maleek Brent, 15
Ahmoni Dale, Kevontis Jordan, Kamron Reed, Stephan Adams, Micah Dandy, Roman 16
Shoulders, Jahmell Graves, Da'vion Bonhom, Kyus Jarmon, Adarreis Rucker, Justin 17
Pace, Ke’Aire Moore, Kendall Lampkins, Quavion King, Nahsir Legrande, Dazman 18
Johnson Jr., Jayden Brown, Dazman Croom Jr., and Stephen Bowmen; and 19
WHEREAS, the Cardinals were led by head coach Thomas Jackson III, along with 20
assistant coaches Robert Gatewood, Allen Evans III, Robert Shoulders, and Kevontis 21
Jordan Sr.; and 22
WHEREAS, the Tenth Street Cardinals organization has been around for over 30 23
years, using football as a catalyst to provide quality leadership and discipline to inner-city 24
youth; and 25
WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that these outstanding young men and their 26

NOW, THEREFORE, 1
Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of 2
Kentucky: 3
Section 1. The members of the Senate join Senator Gerald Neal in honoring the 4
Tenth Street Cardinals and congratulating them upon the occasion of their 2024 D1 5
Nation 10U Youth Football national championship, applauding the team's hard work and 6
dedication, and wishing all of the players and coaches good fortune in all future 7
endeavors. 8
Section 2. The Clerk of the Senate shall transmit a copy of this Resolution to 9
Senator Gerald Neal for presentation to the team. 10
