CONTRACTORS: Removes requirements for selecting Disadvantaged Business Enterprise
as subcontractors
AN ACT1
To repeal R.S. 38:2233.2(D), relative to minority subcontractors; to repeal the provision2
allowing governing authorities to require a prime contractor to award a certain3
percentage of the total dollar bid to minority subcontractors.4
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5
Section 1.  R.S. 38:2233.2(D)  is hereby repealed in its entirety.6

Abstract: Repeals the provision that allows governing authorities require that the prime
contractor award a certain percentage of the total dollar bid to minority
subcontractors.   
Present law allows governing authorities to adopt a requirement that the prime contractor
award a certain percentage of the total dollar bid to minority subcontractors.
Proposed law repeals present law.
