AN ACT1
To amend and reenact R.S. 37:922(A) and to enact R.S. 37:918(21), relative to the Louisiana2
State Board of Nursing; to provide for hearings; to provide for records sharing; and3
to provide for related matters.4
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5
Section 1. R.S. 37:922(A) is hereby amended and reenacted and R.S. 37:918(21) is6
hereby enacted to read as follows:7
§918. Duties and powers of the board8
The board shall:9

(21) Have the authority to share any information in the custody of the board,11
including information not subject to the laws relative to public records pursuant to12
R.S. 44:4(9), with any regulatory or law enforcement agency upon written request13
of the regulatory or law enforcement agency.14

§922. Hearings by board16
A. Upon the filing of a sworn complaint with the board charging the17
violation of any of the provisions of this Part, the executive director of the board18
shall fix a time and place for hearing and send by registered mail a copy of the19
charges together with a notice of the time and place for hearing to the individual20
accused at least ten days prior to the date set for the hearing. The notice shall be21
mailed to the last known address of the individual accused as it appears on the22

or more board members to hear the charges. If no panel has been appointed, the1
charges shall be heard by no less than a quorum of the board members.2
