APPROPRIATIONS/JUDGMENT: Appropriates funds for payment of judgment against
DOTD in the suit entitled "Jason Sampson v. William S. Jonson, et al." consolidated
with "Latharie Sylvain v. Allstate Insurance Company, et al."
AN ACT1
To appropriate funds out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2010-2
2011 to be used to pay the consent judgment in favor of plaintiff, Jason Sampson,3
in the suit entitled "Jason Sampson v. William S. Jonson and Allstate Insurance4
Company" consolidated with "Latharie Sylvain v. Allstate Insurance Company, et5
al"; and to provide for related matters.6
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:7
Section 1. The sum of One Thousand and No/100 ($1,000.00) Dollars is hereby8
appropriated out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2010-2011 to9
be used to pay the consent judgment in favor of plaintiff, Jason Sampson, in the suit entitled10
"Jason Sampson v. William S. Jonson and Allstate Insurance Company" consolidated with11
"Latharie Sylvain v. Allstate Insurance Company, et al", bearing Numbers 2006-10209-B12
and 2007-0990A, respectively, on the docket of the Twelfth Judicial District Court, parish13
of Avoyelles, state of Louisiana.14
Section 2. This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2010; if vetoed by the governor15
and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become effective on July 1,16
2010, or on the day following such approval by the legislature, whichever is later. 17 HLS 10RS-2679 ORIGINAL
