HOUSE BILL NO. 1445

CHILD DAY CARE: Requires child day care facilities to ensure that no child is left in
unattended motor vehicles
AN ACT1
To enact R.S. 32:295.3.1, relative to motor vehicles; to provide relative to the transportation2
of children by day care facilities; and to provide for related matters.3
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:4
Section 1.  R.S. 32:295.3.1 is hereby enacted to read as follows:5
ยง295.3.1.  Motor vehicles used to transport children; day care facilities6
The loading and unloading of passengers on motor vehicles owned and7
operated by a day care center, as defined in R.S. 46:1403, to transport children shall8
be monitored as to ensure that no child is left unattended in the motor vehicle.9
