ACT No. 757 Regular Session, 2010 HOUSE BILL NO. 1481 (Substitute for House Bill No. 1025 by Representative Landry) BY REPRESENTATIVE LANDRY AN ACT1 To amend and reenact R.S. 17:416.7, relative to school boards; to require school boards to2 notify parents prior to implementing new school uniform policies or changing3 existing school uniform policies; to provide for exceptions; and to provide for related4 matters.5 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:6 Section 1. R.S. 17:416.7 is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows:7 ยง416.7. Dress codes; authorization; notification requirement 8 A.(1) Each city, or parish, or other local public school board may adopt such9 rules and regulations as it deems necessary to require implement a school dress code,10 which may includes include the use of uniforms.
