ACT No. 29 Regular Session, 2010 HOUSE BILL NO. 172 BY REPRESENTATIVE HENRY AN ACT1 To amend and reenact R.S. 56:116.1(B)(3), relative to methods of taking certain birds and2 quadrupeds; to provide for prohibited equipment used to take game birds and wild3 quadrupeds; and to provide for related matters.4 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5 Section 1. R.S. 56:116.1(B)(3) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows:6 ยง116.1. Wild birds and wild quadrupeds; times and methods of taking; penalties7 * * *8 B. No person shall do any of the following:9 * * *10 (3) Take or kill any game bird or wild quadruped with a firearm fitted with11 any device to deaden or silence the sound of the discharge thereof; or fitted with an12 infrared sight, electrically operated laser sight or except as provided in Paragraph13 (A)(8) of this Section any sighting device which projects a beam of light to the target14 or otherwise electronically illuminates the target, or device specifically designed to15 enhance vision at night; or with or by means of an automatic loading or hand16 operated repeating shotgun capable of holding more than three shells.
