BY REPRESENTATIVES CHAMPAGNE, ELLINGTON, AND ST. GERMAIN AND
SENATORS ALARIO, HEBERT, AND THOMPSON
AN ACT1
To designate U.S. 90, a future I-49 Corridor, at its intersection with Louisiana Highway 6752
interchange in Iberia Parish as the George T. Gros Memorial Overpass; to rename3
the Lewis Street Bridge on Louisiana Highway Route 87 Spur in Iberia Parish as the4
Elias "Bo" Ackal Bridge; and to provide for related matters.5
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:6
Section 1. U.S. 90, a future I-49 Corridor, at its intersection with Louisiana Highway7
675 interchange in Iberia Parish shall hereafter be known and designated as the "George T.8
Gros Memorial Overpass". 9
Section 2. The Lewis Street Bridge on Louisiana Highway Route 87 Spur in Iberia10
Parish shall be renamed the "Elias "Bo" Ackal Bridge."11
Section 3. The Department of Transportation and Development shall erect12
appropriate signage reflecting these designations.13
