APPROPRIATIONS/JUDGMENT: Appropriates funds for payment of judgment against
DOTD in the suit entitled "Douglas Phillips and Mari Beth Phillips v. Muslow Oil
and Gas Company, et al"
AN ACT1
To appropriate funds out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2010-2
2011 to be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled "Douglas Phillips3
and Mari Beth Phillips v. Muslow Oil and Gas Company, Chubb and State of4
Louisiana through the Department of Transportation and Development"; and to5
provide for related matters.6
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:7
Section 1. The sum of Ten Thousand and No/100 ($10,000.00) Dollars is hereby8
appropriated out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2010-2011 to9
be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled "Douglas Phillips and Mari Beth10
Phillips v. Muslow Oil and Gas Company, Chubb and State of Louisiana through the11
Department of Transportation and Development", bearing Number 468,542-C on the docket12
of the First Judicial District Court, parish of Caddo, state of Louisiana.13
Section 2. This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2010; if vetoed by the governor14
and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become effective on July 1,15
2010, or on the day following such approval by the legislature, whichever is later. 16 HLS 10RS-1322 ORIGINAL
