Regular Session, 2010 HOUSE BILL NO. 557 BY REPRESENTATIVE ROSALIND JONES INDIGENT DEFENSE: Provides that the governor shall appoint at least one member from each congressional district to the La. Public Defender Board AN ACT1 To enact R.S. 15:146(F), relative to the Louisiana Public Defender Board; to provide for the2 composition of the board; to provide that at least one member appointed by the3 governor shall be from each congressional district; and to provide for related matters.4 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5 Section 1. R.S. 15:146(F) is hereby enacted to read as follows: 6 ยง146. Louisiana Public Defender Board7 * * *8 F. Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, of the total9 number of appointments made by the governor as provided for in this Section, at10 least one member shall be appointed from each congressional district.11 Section 2.
