Abstract: Deletes requirement that the amount of the casino support services contract be
subject to approval by the Joint Legislative Committee on the Budget, and requires

the contract at its next meeting. If the committee approves the amount, the current contract
shall continue in force. If the committee disapproves the amount, the contract is null.
Present law provides that any payment required by the approval of the amount of the
contract shall be subject to appropriation by the legislature.
Proposed law deletes the provisions making the contract continuation contingent on approval
by the Joint Legislative Committee on the Budget. Proposed law further requires the
legislature to annually approve the full amount of the contract.
