ACT No. 483 Regular Session, 2010 HOUSE BILL NO. 719 BY REPRESENTATIVE RICHMOND AN ACT1 To enact Part IV of Chapter 29 of Title 33 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, to be2 comprised of R.S. 33:9098.1, relative to neighborhood districts; to provide relative3 to district funds; to authorize the governing board of certain districts to combine the4 funds of their respective districts pursuant to a cooperative endeavor agreement,5 subject to limitations; to require the prior approval of members of the homeowners6 association located within each such district; to provide for the use of the combined7 funds; and to provide for related matters.8 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:9 Section 1. Part IV of Chapter 29 of Title 33 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of10 1950, comprised of R.S. 33:9098.1, is hereby enacted to read as follows: 11 PART IV. DISTRICT FUNDS12 ยง9098.1. District funds; cooperative endeavor agreement13 A. Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, the board of14 commissioners of any district created pursuant to this Chapter may, through a15 cooperative endeavor agreement, combine the funds of the district with the funds of16 one or more districts created pursuant to this Chapter; however, the board of17 commissioners of any such district shall not combine its funds with the funds of a18 district whose boundaries are located greater than one mile from its own. The19 combined funds may be used for any of the stated purposes of any district that is a20 party to the cooperative endeavor agreement.21 B.
