MINERALS: Provides for wells in a drilling unit
AN ACT1
To amend and reenact R.S. 30:10(A)(2)(a)(i)(introductory paragraph), relative to drilling2
units; to provide for the definition of a unit well; and to provide for related matters.3
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:4
Section 1. R.S. 30:10(A)(2)(a)(i)(introductory paragraph) is hereby amended and5
reenacted to read as follows:6

(a)(i) Any owner drilling or intending to drill a unit well, including a12
substitute unit well, on any drilling unit heretofore or hereafter created by the13
commissioner, may, by certified mail, return receipt requested, notify all other14
owners in the unit of the drilling or the intent to drill and give each owner an15
opportunity to elect to participate in the risk and expense of such well. For the16
purposes of this Section, the term "unit well" shall mean any well drilled within a17
unit established by the commissioner. Such notice shall contain:18
