HLS 10RS-344 ORIGINAL Page 1 of 2 Regular Session, 2010 HOUSE BILL NO. 83 BY REPRESENTATIVE WILLIAMS APPROPRIATIONS/JUDGMENT: Appropriates funds for payment of judgment against DOTD in the suit entitled "Sarah Harris, et al v. Brandy Jarrells, et al" AN ACT1 To appropriate funds out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2010-2 2011 to be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled "Sarah Harris,3 individually and as the natural tutor of the estate of the minor children, Kelsie Harris4 and Raven Harris v. the unopened succession of Brandy R. Jarrells, Southern Farm5 Bureau Casualty, the Kansas City Southern Railway Company, the Town of Oil City,6 and State of Louisiana, Department of Transportation and Development"; and to7 provide for related matters.8 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:9 Section 1. The sum of Three Thousand Five Hundred and No/100 ($3,500.00)10 Dollars to be apportioned and paid as follows: One Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty and11 No/100 ($1,750.00) Dollars to Sarah Elizabeth Vineyard Harris; Eight Hundred Seventy-five12 and No/100 ($875.00) Dollars to Sarah Elizabeth Vineyard Harris, as Natural Tutrix for13 Kelsie Nicole Harris; and Eight Hundred Seventy-five and No/100 ($875.00) Dollars to14 Sarah Elizabeth Vineyard Harris, as Natural Tutrix for Raven Elizabeth Harris, is hereby15 appropriated out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2010-2011 to16 be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled "Sarah Harris, individually and as17 the natural tutor of the estate of the minor children, Kelsie Harris and Raven Harris v. the18 unopened succession of Brandy R. Jarrells, Southern Farm Bureau Casualty, the Kansas City19 Southern Railway Company, the Town of Oil City, and State of Louisiana, Department of20 HLS 10RS-344 ORIGINAL HB NO. 83 Page 2 of 2 Transportation and Development", bearing Number 499,575-C on the docket of the First1 Judicial District Court, parish of Caddo, state of Louisiana.2 Section 2.
